Zutaten (für ein Backblech):

  • 500 g Mehl

  • 250 g Zucker

  • 1 Prise Salz

  • 1 Päckchen Vanillezucker

  • 1 Ei

  • 300 g Butter (kalt, in Stückchen)

Für die Füllung:

  • 1,5 kg Äpfel

  • 2 EL Zitronensaft

  • 2 EL Zucker

  • 1 TL Zimt

Zubereitung:

  1. Mehl, Zucker, Vanillezucker, Salz, Ei und Butter zu einem krümeligen Streuselteig verkneten.

  2. Etwa 2/3 der Streusel als Boden auf ein gefettetes oder mit Backpapier belegtes Blech drücken.

  3. Äpfel schälen, würfeln, mit Zitronensaft, Zucker und Zimt mischen und gleichmäßig auf dem Boden verteilen.

  4. Restliche Streusel darübergeben.

  5. Bei 180 °C (Ober-/Unterhitze) ca. 40–45 Minuten backen.

  6. Schmeckt besonders gut noch leicht warm mit Schlagsahne oder Vanilleeis.
